Chinese steam kaya pau and redbean pau


Finally i have my own steam pau tada!!!!

ingredient you need is just simple

1) Pau Flour ( can be obtain in any market/super market i get mine in 99 market in malaysia)
2) Instant yis ( can be same place bought in 99 market as well)
3) Sugar ( im estimate about 6 spoon) you can added up more depend on own taste
4) 5 spoon baking powder
5) half small mug warm water
6) estimate about 6 spoon vegetable oil
7) instant kaya bought from market
8) red bean paste homemade by me ( joey)



redbean paste recipe
1) buy a packet raw redbean best soak it over night ( 3 -5 hour)
2) boil hot water
3) put the soaked redbean and wash  5 to 6 times
7) cooked together inside pot
8) when you feel it already soft
9) blend it with glinder or best if you have blender
10) put sugar and mix around according your taste
11) let it cool down
12) heat up your pot and cook it with your vegetable oil/if you have peanut it will more fragrant
13) the homemade redbean paste can be store up to 2 weeks you can use it paste to make lot of recipe
          ^___^


Step make pau dough

1) first mix around pau flour with sugar added up abit baking powder
2) mix the yeast with warm water and wait about 20 min
3) mix the yeast ingredient with flour

4) kneading accordingly until it smoothen
5add up with vegetable oil and continue kneading 
6) next cover it with cloth or if cling wrap you may use it
7) wait for at least 1 hour until the dough size become double up.



After 1 and 1/2 hour the pau size have been increasing ,you may continue kneading and feel it like toi toi the dough look firming up just like SK11 ads nahh i just joking hehehhehe 

then you may split it up to small size up to your own peference :)


then you can start insert the redbean paste/kaya inside the dough u have created.

use an steam rack i have buy from market those dim sum steam rack ( not so pricey about rm25 in malaysia )

wait until the water heat up then you can put the pau to be steamed up
the process taken about 20 min 

and you can open the cover and see the size have increase 

and there you go your pau is ready to be served. Enjoy muaksssssssssss
